   “I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet colored beast...And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, The mother of harlots and abominations of the earth.” (Revelation 17:3-5)

The Whore of Babylon is the epitome of self deception. To understand the mystery of the whore and her evil city, we must familiarize ourselves with the culture of the architects that laid Babylon’s foundation; Semiramis and her son Nimrod.

 Semiramis was one of the many grand-daughters of Noah. She grew up to become a woman of legendary beauty. As a child, she listened to her Grandfather recite the sad history which led up to the great flood. Noah and his three sons had personally witnessed an entire civilization degrade into moral chaos. His family suffered the heartbreak of separation as many of their unbelieving friends and relatives perished in the great flood. Although a dark chapter of man’s history came to an abrupt end, God predicted that mankind’s rebellion towards His government would continue.

 Fear gripped Semiramis as she heard the solemn warnings of that holy man. Through Noah’s influence, Semiramis became very devout in the matters of her religious life. Many of those among Noah’s family longed for an end to the rebellion and its painful repercussions. For them, God mercifully held out hope that there would be a final and triumphant ending to the rebellion. It was Noah’s responsibility to pass on a prophecy pronounced to the fallen Angel who caused the fall of Adam and Eve;  “I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; he will crush your head, and you will strike his heel” (Genesis 4:15).

 What was the meaning of this Divine proclamation? Clearly it was a prediction of mankind’s great moral struggle. But within this bitter sentence was held out the promise that a deliverer would come. Semiramis was filled with fascination as she pondered this prophecy. Through careful observation, she learned that this deliverer would be a male child of heavenly origin. Furthermore he would be born of a woman. Semiramis, like many of the young women in Noah’s growing family aspired to have the honor of becoming mother of the “Messiah”, the one sent from heaven. Semiramis determined to rise above all other women and assume its fulfillment.

 As time passed, the family of Noah had become a great tribe. They migrated downward from the mountainous region of Ararat and many later traveled eastward to the plains of Shinar (now Iraq). As they entered this untamed fertile country, they were overcome with awe as they encountered multitudes of wild creatures. Lions, leopards, elephants, and enormous herds of horses and antelope. These creatures dazzled

the eyes of Noah’s grandchildren. They had never seen animals like these! Unfortunately, they hindered the expansion of Noah’s growing tribe as many of the animals began to prey upon the helpless settlers living throughout what we call the “middle east” today.

  Yet there was one who rose up among the people who possessed no fear at all.  "Nimrod...grew to be a mighty warrior on the earth. He was a mighty hunter before
   the LORD” (Genesis10:8-9). Nimrod had taken an assertive role in the domination of this wild country. It must have been an inspirational site for the fearful men throughout the middle east to see Nimrod in control of a horse, using this animal as a means to slay

the wild creatures. Nimrod became a man of mythical proportions! As Semiramis watched her son as he confidently overcame the obstacles of that wild country, she began to relate the prophecy of the coming Messiah to him. Wasn’t Nimrod celebrated as the deliverer of all the people? Wasn’t he striking the heads of terrifying creatures just as the prophecy foretold? This determined woman became stricken with delusions of grandeur and began to see herself as mother of the Holy Messiah! Self exaltation filled her heart with ambition as it did with Lucifer; “You said in your heart, "I will ascend to heaven; I will raise my throne above the stars of God; I will sit enthroned on the mount of assembly, on the utmost heights of the sacred mountain. I will ascend above the tops of the clouds; I will make myself like the Most High" (Isaiah 14:13-14).

  It was God Himself, not erring mortals who laid out the path to the Messiah. Beginning with Adam, one male from his family was selected to receive a messianic inheritance called the “birth-rite” and in turn, pass the inheritance to the next divinely appointed male. Near the time of Noah’s death, this birth-rite was bestowed upon Shem. This created a great sense of disappointment and anger for Semiramis who believed Nimrod was the “Messiah”. Noah made it clear to all that Nimrod would never be the Messiah.

 But Semiramis was not deterred by Noah’s position of authority. This woman, jealous for her son, roused up those believing in his great power and broke apart the strong bonds of unity that Noah build up among the growing tribe.

   Sincerity is the deadliest form of deception and Semiramis was most sincere about her beliefs. Through her sincerity, combined with genuine concern and care, she led the people captive under a mysterious spell. Although she was highly
respected, she realized she could not maintain her power over the people without the continued success of her Son. Nimrod provided leadership through his arm of strength, while Semiramis provided the spiritual force.

 Semiramis was unusually protective over the welfare of her son. Losing the loyalty of Nimrod could bring an end to her exalted position. To insure that Nimrod remained devoted, Semiramis committed an unthinkable act! Slowly she began to draw out the un-natural affections of her son until mother and son became husband and wife! “MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT...abominations of the Earth” (Revelation 17:3-5). Nothing would be allowed to stand in the way of maintaining her position among the people. Even if it meant sexually corrupting her own son!

  These are the early beginnings of the ancient pagan traditions. The beliefs taught by Semiramis were set deep into the hearts of those who supported the worlds first King and Queen. As men began to spread throughout the earth, they carried on the memory of Semiramis and Nimrod. In ancient India, they were venerated as the god and goddess that brought life; Isi
and Iswara. (shown above) In Egypt the pair was worshiped as Isis and Osiris. In China she was known as Shing-Moo (queen of heaven). Canaanites worshiped them as Ashteroth and Baal (Bull).

  The most shocking mark of   this pagan duo can be seen in the symbols adopted by the European Union (Greek Euro shown left). The name chosen for this new nation is “Europa”. Which means - Raped by the Bull- It portrays the sexual misconduct of these two;
“I saw a woman sitting on a scarlet beast that was covered with blasphemous names” (Revelation 17:3). God has not forgotten her work of diverting multitudes from the true knowledge of the Messiah; “God hath remembered her iniquities...with violence shall that great city Babylon be thrown down, and shall be found no more at all” (Revelation 18:7-21).”
